ABOUT ME AND PRELIMINARY

BELOW ARE SOME PICTURES OF HARLEY

AND SOME PICTURES FROM MY POLO SEASON 2019/20

BELOW I WILL BE SHOWCASING MY PRELIMINARY WORK WHICH WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL IN IMPROVING MY SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE WAYS AND TECHNIQUES THAT MUST BE LEARNT AS A MEDIA STUDIES STUDENT

TASK NO.1

BLACK&WHITE and COLORED photography

One of our first tasks as media students was to showcase our photography skills by capturing pictures both in black and white and colored. Below I will showcase my results 🙂

Black&White:

COLORED :

TASK NO.2

MY MYSELF POSTER

This task was especially challenging for me; being someone with no prior experience on how to use Photoshop and utilizing it’s editing tools, i tried my best to portray myself in the form of a poster and telling a bit more about myself through it. The concept behind my myself poster is to show everything revolving around my main hobby and its beginnings, as well as showcasing my sense of humor and my favorite music artist which is Post Malone.

TASK NO.3

MAGAZINE COVER and CONTENT PAGE

Before making my final magazine cover and content page i decided to form a mood board to showcase my inspiration for my magazine cover. This board was based on athletes that play polo specifically and how previous covers based on them were made.

Also, before forming my magazine cover i decided to practice Photoshop even more and formed magazine covers completely unrelated to the mood board to hone my skills. Below are the proof images of this cover and the final cover itself.

Final Cover with proof:

This final magazine cover was based on how athletes and people in general in polo enjoy bringing their dogs and showcasing them in the community. The no eye contact concept in this cover is inspired by the worlds no.1 polo player Hazel Jackson. Edward Banner-Eve is the model in my cover who is a professional polo player that plays with me throughout each season. I chose him as my model to try and make my cover as authentic as possible.

Content Page:

With my content page i tried my best to match the color scheme of my magazine cover. Dark green played a major role in both my magazine cover and content page because it blends really well with a black and white concept.
